Medicare plans we help with
Every client’s situation is different. As an independent Medicare broker, we work with multiple carriers to show you real options — not just whatever one company offers.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Combines hospital, medical and often prescription coverage in one plan. Zero to low premiums, network-based, some with Part B giveback.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Works alongside Original Medicare to cover copays, coinsurance and deductibles. Accepted by any doctor who takes Medicare.
Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)
Standalone drug coverage that pairs with Original Medicare or Medigap. Carrier and formulary matter — we match the plan to your medications.
Medicaid / State programs
May help with premiums, deductibles and copays for those who qualify. Enrollment is completed directly with your state agency.

TIMING MATTERS
Enrollment periods: what you need to know
Start getting informed at least 3 months before your 65th birthday. Still working at 65? Then talk to HR first, because employer coverage affects when and how you enroll. You can also check the official dates on Medicare.gov.
| Period | What it means |
|---|---|
| Initial (IEP) | 3 months before/after your 65th birthday. Your Guaranteed Enrollment Period — no health questions, no penalties. |
| Annual (AEP) | Oct 15 – Dec 7 each year. Switch, drop or add Advantage/Part D plans. Effective January 1. |
| Open (OEP) | Jan 1 – Mar 31. Switch Medicare Advantage plans or return to Original Medicare. |
| Special (SEP) | Triggered by qualifying life events — losing employer coverage, moving, Medicaid changes. Time-sensitive. |
| General (GEP) | Jan 1 – Mar 31, for those who missed IEP. Late enrollment may mean permanent Part B penalties. |

KNOW YOUR OPTIONS
Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement
| Feature | Medicare Advantage (Part C) | Medicare Supplement (Medigap) |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly premium | Zero to low (sometimes $0) | Higher ($150–$400+) |
| Doctor network | Network-based (HMO/PPO) | Any doctor who accepts Medicare |
| Out-of-pocket | Copays/coinsurance; annual max applies | Most gaps covered — predictable costs |
| Pre-existing conditions | Covered if enrolled when eligible | Covered in Guaranteed Period; health questions may apply later |
| Best for | Lower monthly costs, comfortable with a network | Maximum flexibility, predictable costs |
Our take: if you have the means and health concerns, we usually recommend looking at Medigap — especially during your Guaranteed Enrollment Period. But every situation is different, and that’s what we’re here for.
